An adaptive assessment that calibrates question difficulty to the candidate in real time, built around engineering reasoning rather than general knowledge.
The challenge
Fixed-length tests waste a strong candidate’s time and overwhelm a weaker one. The result is a noisy score and a high abandon rate mid-test.
What we built
Each answer updates an ability estimate, and the next question is drawn from the band that carries the most information about that estimate. Most sessions converge in far fewer questions than a fixed test would need.
